How To Get Your CDL License | Sikeston, MO

Save Time & Money

There are many commercial driving schools throughout Missouri, but TCI offers one of the fastest and most affordable training programs in the state. For just $795, you'll receive a full day of one-on-one instruction and a pre-trip instructional DVD for you to watch before your first appointment. We accept only one client per day, so you'll have our undivided attention.

Our Truck & Trailer

We offer two trucks to choose from when taking your test. One is an International single-axle day cab, the other is a Freightliner FL70 single-axle day cab with a synchronized manual transmission. This means you don't have to double-clutch when shifting gears. This truck is for those who wish not to have an E restriction on their CDL.

About the E Restriction

If you take the test in a truck with an automatic transmission, you will have an E restriction on your license. This means that you will only be permitted to drive a truck with an automatic transmission. Getting your E restriction removed is an easy process however, all you have to do is take the driving portion of the exam in a truck with a manual transmission — no trailer will be necessary to get the restriction removed. If you decide to take the test with the Freightliner FL70, you should have no restriction on your license.

This setup is ideally suited to helping clients pass the test. The truck is easy to drive and features a back window for easy backing. The trailer is lower to the ground than most flatbeds, giving you a clear view, and its length makes for easy turning and backing. You can also rent the truck and trailer for use when taking the test.

A Rewarding Career

Over the next decade, it is estimated that the trucking industry will need an additional 300,000 drivers. Having a CDL makes you a highly competitive candidate in this job market. You'll be able to find immediate employment and provide for your family during tough economic times. With a Class A license, you'll be able to operate virtually any vehicle a job demands. Trained truckers are able to choose from flexible short-haul or long-haul opportunities. Whether you want to work days, nights, or weekends, you'll be able to set a schedule that works for you.
